Here is an interview with Don Pierce, coordinator of the Ambassadors class.
What is the personality and makeup of the group?
For the most part, we have a good sense of humor. A few of us tend to be stuck in the 50's. The majority of us are either retired or late in our careers. It was not by design, but just worked out that way.
Do you get together at times other than Bible class?
Most of the members are also part of small groups. The intent of the founding of the class is to have a monthly project (providing food for the pantry, providing school supplies for needy kids, providing materials for the Samaritan Inn, etc.; a monthly social, etc.)
What are the needs of this group, as you see it, and how does the group and the church address these needs?
The needs of this group are about the same as most of us who have aging parents and siblings and are dealing with the issues of getting older.

The purposeof the class is to understand the historical and cultural influences that have shaped our understanding of how we do church. It is only through this self-awarenessthat we can either accept or re-think these influences & be more fully Christ’s representatives.
