New to High Pointe - High Pointe Church of Christ

Welcome to the High Pointe Church of Christ! And welcome to our new web site. In many ways, this site--which seeks to be current, relevant to today's generation, and help connect people with God and others--marks a new era in the life of this church. We'll be adding a lot more content in the coming days, and welcome your input and feedback.

My name is James Nored, and I'm the new minister at High Pointe. My wife, Becki, and our two daughters, Gina (age 7) and Emily (age 3 1/2) moved here from Kansas City in March of 2008. During this time of transition, we have found ourselves looking for:

A church that loves us unconditionally, extending friendship and kindness
A church that draws us closer as a couple, and helps teach our two children about God
A church that is biblical and relevant, providing practical help on daily Christian living
A church that will encourage us weekly in our spiritual journey through inspiring worship
A church that reaches out to the world, ministers to the poor, serves the community, and shares the good news of Jesus Christ

I can testify that, while no church is perfect, this is the kind of church that High Pointe seeks to be. In February, the church was challenged to give on "Harvest Sunday," a day in which the church gives money towards works that help serve the community and share the good news. The church responded dramatically, with overflowing generosity, which shows the incredible hearts of the people here.
