The Collin Country Church Plant, Iglesia de Cristo, is the first plant that comes out of the Genesis Alliance. It is located at the Plano location of the Highland Oaks Church of Christ:

The church planter is Carlos Lopez. Caros is a native of El Salvador, and he helped to plant two congregations in his native country. He holds a 4-year degree from the Baxter Institute and a Master's Degree in Religion from Abilene Christian University. Carlos Lopez began working for High Pointe in El Salvador as a minister in 1997 after graduating from the Baxter Institute in Honduras.  In January 2004 Carlos came to the U.S. and enrolled in Abilene Christian University. After receiving his master's degree in religion from ACU in December 2006, Carlos moved to Plano and began the Collin County church plant 

 

May 4 of 2008 was the inaugural worship service and official launch of the Iglesia de Cristo. Let us be praying for Carlos and Glenda in this most important work.
