Let's Start Talking/Centurion Project (Foreign)
|

The Centurion Project is a part of the Let's Start Talking ministry. Its goal is to send out 100 different workers from 100 different churches over the next ten years to serve as short term missionaries. High Pointe has signed up to be a participant in the Centurion Project. In 2008, teams of workers were sent to St. Petersburg, Russia to Lima, Peru and to San Miguel, El Salvador.
Teams are continually forming and training for mission trips to various countries. The 2009 mission projects are forming now. The first information meeting for the 2009 mission projects is scheduled for Sunday, October 5, 2008. Margaret Adams and Sherrie Beeson will be facilitating the meetings for the 2009 projects. To find out more about current and/or future mission opportunities, e-mail High Pointe Centurion.
Let's Start Talking is an evangelistic tool that helps people learn English using readings and conversations from the book of Luke. As a reader goes through the biblical text with a trained worker and practices his or her English, questions naturally arise about Jesus and his teachings. These then become opportunities for workers to share their faith. This is a natural, non-threatening way to share the gospel.
