Clothing for the Clothes Closet
ministry comes from donations from High Pointe members and others in the community. Men's and children's clothing is always in great demand. We also accept all household items, and toys.
If you would like to donate clothing, please drop it off in the East Foyer Closet. (next to the workroom)
Volunteers on these days work the front desk, maintain order, are friendly, and move empty hangers neatly to back wall racks.
Our sorting days are Tuesdays starting at 10:30 a.m. till we finish. (Usually 2 to 4 hours, depending on how many volunteers we have).
There is also a sort group led by B.J. Hambers, that sorts the last Sunday of the month in the afternoon. Contact B.J. for details.
Sorting days : lifting heavy bags or boxes, hanging clothes in their designated places, placing shoes and household items on shelves, taking out the trash and maintaining a neat and orderly Clothes Closet!
We welcome all volunteers! This is a fun time for fellowship and good exercise! Come out and help whenever you can!
Spanish Translators - Many of those who come to the Clothes Closet for help are Hispanic, and many speak little or no English. The Clothes Closet
ministry seeks to have a Spanish translator present at each opening.
We also look for people to collect information from those who come for help, to pray with them, and work with the children who attend.
