Below is an interview with Susan Balog about this connection group.
 What is the make-up (age, life situation) of your group?
Our group consists of a core group of 4 families (2 with children, 2 without) as well as a couple of "single agains". We range in age from early 30's to early 50's with the kids ranging from 2 to 16.
- How long has your group been in existence?
We have been in existance for almost 6 years now, having started as a "multiple" of a larger group which outgrew the homes of the original members.
- What are the typical elements of your group meeting?
Bible study, fellowship, prayer with the newest addition of service in the form of Habitat for Humanity.
- What is the primary focus of the group? (fellowship, Bible study, service, outreach, prayer, etc.)
Our primary focus is twofold: fellowship & prayer. By getting to know each other well, we are open to share our needs so that the group may pray more effectively for each other.
- How many are in your group? (estimated total) How many are typically at a group meeting? A typical group meeting has our family of 6 plus another 4 or 6 members. If we were all to meet, there would be almost 25 of us.
- When and where does your group typically meet? Because two of our families have 4 children, we have found it most convenient to meet right after worship on Sunday at either a member's home or at a nearby restaurant or park to share a meal.
- What are some of the best memories/moments that you have had in your group?
We recently worked together on painting one of our member's house while he was off in Russia for the LTC mission trip. The look on his face when he returned home and discovered that we had done in one week what he thought would take him over a month was priceless.
